Things to do include ...wildlife, wildlife and
some more wildlife. From the impressive big 5
to the endangered black rhino and wild dog, from
the enchanting giraffe to inspiring rare species
such as the cheetah. Zululand safaris are available
in elevated game drive vehicles, on boat cruises,
horseback or even by foot. The area offers incredible
bio-diversity with over 460 bird species and 1250
fish species in the marine reserves.
If you want to take a break from the wildlife
discover the Zulu culture by visiting traditional
Zulu villages, modern rural living school tours
and community craft centres. You could take a
step back into history and explore Border Cave
that is internationally recognised for its human
remains from the middle stone ages or hike on
the fossil trail at False Bay.
The stretch of coastline also boasts one of the
world's few remaining breeding grounds for the
rare leatherback and loggerhead turtles and even
the prehistoric coelacanth has been spotted here.
Snorkelling, scuba or sunbathing on unspoilt beaches
on the Elephant Coast offers interesting and adventurous
day trips. A conference venue is available for
corporate events.
We invite you to come and celebrate the tantalizing
taste of nature with us!
